Salzburg Austria

We had a terrible hotel in Munich. It was called Smart Stay, and if you are smart, you will nix this one off your list. The Bathroom was tiny w/ mold on ceiling of shower. The shower holder pipe was loose and could be pulled away from wall when trying to adjust the shower height. Bathroom was about 24" deep and 8' wide. If you wanted to bend over the sink to wash your face, you had to open the door! The shower opening was 13" wide but you had to be able to get around the sink and step up and in. With the door closed you only had 10" between the edge of the sink and the door handle. Definitely not ADA approved.
We used our toothbrushes as a measurement guide.

We left Munich earlier than planned as it looked like it would rain all day. Took the fast train, which only took 1 hour 28 minutes. It is cloudy, but no rain here. We are staying at a hotel that my cousin and I used the last time we were here, called Hotel Dom. We enjoyed it then, but boy has it changed even better than before. It is privately owned now and is a boutique hotel. They have upgraded everything. I wasn't sure I was in the right place. What a difference from the last place. Internet service is great
The bathroom has a huge shower, and plenty of room to turn around.

Large closets, 2 luggage stands, a desk and a couch. The single beds can be pulled apart.

We dropped off our luggage and walked about a bit to get us orientated to the area.

This fountain is in Kapitel Platz just steps from our hotel.

This Saint Peter's Church

Hohensalzburg Fortress is seen easily from almost anywhere in the old town. There is a cable car that can take you up.......no more mountain climbing for me. I will leave that to the younger generation!
Below is St Peter's Cemetery and Catacombs. If I am remembering correctly from my last visit, the grave sites are rented and families are responsible to keep up the sites. They are passes through generations. If you do not pay, the grave is vacated for the next person.

Salzburg's most famous resident was Mozart. This statue, you guessed it, is in Mozart Platz.

Another view of the fortress.
